Drive-up service for book donations offered at Dundee library

Submitted by Friends of Fox River Valley Public Library

Books are heavy, especially a whole box of them, and nobody knows that better than a library.

That’s why the Friends of the Fox River Valley Public Library District will hold a “Drive Up Book Donation Drop Off” from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Dundee Library, 555 Barrington Ave., East Dundee.

The Friends will be on hand to help you unload your donations of used books and media, such as DVDs, CDs, audiobooks and video games. Just drive up, and drop them off. The Friends cannot accept magazines, encyclopedias, text books over five years, or damaged materials.

The Friends Fall Book Sale is slated for Oct. 24-26, also at the Dundee Library.

For information about donations, visit the library’s website at www.frvpld.info or call (847) 428-3661.
