St. Charles East presents Variety Show March 3

The ninth annual St. Charles East High School P-ARTS Variety Show will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Norris Cultural Arts Center, 1040 Dunham Road, St. Charles.

This year, acts include St. Charles East singers and piano players, some performing original compositions and some performing popular recordings, a techno dance duet, a ballerina, and a contemporary dancer.

“I'm super excited to play at P-ARTS,” said senior Rachel Hearn who will be playing and singing an original song on piano. “There are so many talented performers”.

It also will feature Dan Marino, Peter Procek, Ryan Shannon, Nick Novotny, and Jon Belsheim of Translucid Blue, performers who frequently play at other local venues.

“I am excited to be playing with the rest of my friends in the variety show,” Karmis said.

The money made from the show will go back to the P-ARTS department to help provide grants for the Humanities Department and visiting artist programs, and scholarships to P-ARTS members to summer art camps/activities/colleges and many other activities and support services.

Tickets are $7 and $5 for students and seniors.

There will be art displayed and for sale in the lobby of the Norris Center.
