Early Voting for the 2012 General Primary Election Begins February 27

General Primary Election Takes Place on Tuesday, March 20

The City of Naperville would like to inform residents that early voting for the 2012 General Primary Election begins on Monday, February 27 for both DuPage and Will County residents. Early voting ends on Thursday, March 15, and Election Day is Tuesday, March 20.

Early voting for DuPage County residents will take place in Naperville in Meeting Room A of the Municipal Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, March 3 and Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. A full list of early voting locations throughout the county is available at www.dupageelections.com.

Unlike absentee voting, early voting does not require a reason for submitting a ballot before Election Day. A voter registered in DuPage County can visit any early voting site in the county and present a valid government issued photo ID card to receive a ballot.

Will County residents who reside in incorporated Naperville can visit the Will County Clerk's office to take part in early voting or visit the City Clerk's Office at the Municipal Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, March 3 and Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. Will County residents who wish to vote early must visit the specified early voting site in which they reside because local clerks are only supplied with ballots for the residents that live within their limits. A full list of locations is available at www.thewillcountyclerk.com.

Please note voter registration will be closed February 22 through March 22. The City Clerk's office will be open on Saturday, February 18 to accommodate voter registration from 9 a.m. to noon.

Residents are reminded they can obtain the location of their polling place on Election Day by utilizing the “Your Place” application located in the bottom menu bar of the City's website at www.naperville.il.us. By simply entering their home address, residents can find their polling place location.
