Rosemont’s Allstate Arena wins EPA award for green efforts

Rosemont’s Allstate Arena is the first major public events venue in Illinois to win the national Environmental Protection Agency Gold Achievement Award for its environmental sustainability practices and objectives. The WasteWise Gold Achievement award was given to the Allstate arena for its “Green for a Reason” initiative that aims to reduce the amount of waste going into landfills and encourage public awareness about conservation.
