Woodland Primary School hosts its Kindergarten Plus Parent Involvement Night, 5:30 to 7 p.m., on Feb. 2 at 17366 W. Gages Lake Road, Gages Lake. The night begins with pizza, juice, and warm-up table activities for literacy and math skills. It will continue with learning centers led by the Kindergarten Plus teachers Allison Coltman and Peggy Raube, and Kindergarten Plus paraprofessional Barb Simon along with several special area teachers, Literacy Specialist Erin Landmeier, Math Specialist Danielle Mann, Media Center Specialist Kelly Shiffer, Primary School Social Worker Laurie Retzky, and Primary School Principal, Stacey Anderson. Kindergarten Plus is a general education academic readiness program that extends the kindergarten program from a half day of school to a whole day.
