50 Dist. 103 students make spelling bee finals

Lincolnshire-Prairie View Elementary District 103 has announced the names of the 50 students who are finalists in the districtwide spelling bee.

The competition is set for 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Daniel Wright Junior High School.

Grade level competitions were held during December to determine the finalists to participate in the districtwide bee.

Finalists for each grade level are:

Grade 8: Kazemi Adachi, Kirsten Bosman, Patrick DeMichele, Annmarie Morrison, Jamie Schlacter, Alec Smith, Niveda Tennety, Jeffrey Wang, Andy Xu, Julianne Yang.

Grade 7: Janey Bang, Revanth Bellam, Derek Chen, Ewan Darrow, Stephanie Diao, John Kolross, Jason Lu, Sneha Poondru, Alex Shi, Michelle Sun.

Grade 6: Akhil Aggarwal, Harsh Dasika, Conor DeMichele, Tyler Gordon, Anabelle Lee, Chris Muth, Amrith Ravikumar, Soumik Sarkar, Nihkita Srigiriraju, Haoyang Yu.

Grade 5: Michelle Cai, Aishani Dutta, Claire Huang, Anjali Kotamarthi, Connor L’Heureux, Olivia Lamberti, Annie Xu, Austin Yang, Kitty Zeng, Hannah Zhang.

Grade 4: Eshaan Bhattad, Aaron Kim, Healey Kogan, Emily Lu, William Nakazato, George Paoletti, Gabriel Ran, Lydia Tan, Richard Wang, Michael Wu.
