Ask the Sports Writers: SoxFest Q&A

At last year's SoxFest, then manager Ozzie Guillen and GM Kenny Williams were on good behavior and talking to each other. And for good reasons: Guillen's contract had just been settled, he no longer had to deal with closer Bobby Jenks, and he was looking forward to meeting his new power hitter, Adam Dunn. Now Guillen and Williams have split forever, and Sox fans should have plenty of questions for Williams and new manager Robin Ventura about Dunn and other issues facing their team.

While last season's dismal slide kept many White Sox fans away from the ballpark as the season progressed, it also provided fans with plenty of questions heading into this weekend's SoxFest, which runs Friday through Sunday at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.

White Sox beat writer Scot Gregor expects some spirited debate from Sox fans anxious to quiz general manager Ken Williams on his rebuilding plan, and his choice of Robin Ventura to replace the departed Ozzie Guillen. In this week's edition of our "Ask the Sports Writers" video Q&A, Gregor looks at the highlights of SoxFest (a 2005 reunion), what kind of questions fans will ask the GM and manager, and what kind of reception Ventura should expect as a rookie manager.
