Alex Rothacker cruised through an eating challenge Thursday at Bulldogs Grill in Grayslake. He had 30 minutes to eat more than four pounds of hamburger and fries, but did it in just over 19 minutes.

Rothacker needed only about 19 minutes to devour a towering hamburger and chili-cheese fries that weighed a combined 4½ pounds or so. “I love food,” Rothacker said.
