Norge Ski Jump draws world's skiers this weekend

Bundle up and keep your eyes on the skies.

This weekend, the 107th annual Norge Ski Jump Tournament takes place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 28-29 at 100 Ski Hill Road, Fox River Grove.

Admission is $15 at the gate or $10 in advance. Children are admitted free.

At this year's event, four international teams will be competing against elite jumpers from the U.S. in the fourth stop of the 5-Hills Tour. Highly ranked U.S. Junior Jumpers from the Central and Eastern Divisions will be vying for an opportunity to participate in the Junior National Championships scheduled to take place at the Olympic Jump Facility in Park City, Utah in early March.

Parking is free, and gates open at 11 a.m. both days. Free shuttle buses will run from the Fox River Grove Metra station, as well as from the Stonehill shopping center parking lot at routes 14 and 22. For details, see norgeskiclub.com or call (847) 639-9718.
