Dance studios offer all types of dance instruction
An interview with Krystian Grabowski and Sylvia Zawadzka.
Q: Describe your business. What do you do?
A: Our studios offer all kinds of dance instruction — from ballroom to country western to salsa to nightclub dancing — for all ages and abilities through private, group, and practice lessons. At every Ballroom Dance Studio, learning how to dance is always easy and fun! In your very first lesson, you’ll learn the basic elements of which all dance patterns are based and within hours, you’ll be ready to dance!
Q: What made you start your business?
A: We wanted to share our years of training and love of dance with our students. We try to help our students achieve all of their dance goals.
Q: What has been the most difficult obstacle in running or starting a small business?
A: There are many obstacles along the way, but our passion for dance and teaching helps us overcome these hurdles. First year, it was staff training. Overtime as the economy changes, we try to adapt and change some of our business strategies to keep our business thriving.
Q: What do you enjoy most about operating your business?
A: We enjoy seeing the progress and changes we help make in the lives of our students.
Q: Is this what you pictured yourself doing when you were young? When you were young, what did you want to be when your grew up?
A: No, but the passion for dance is very addicting. It keeps us coming back for more!
Q: What keeps you up at night?
A: Running a business is stressful and can sometimes keep us up at night it at the same time it is very rewarding.
Q: If you could give one tip to a rookie business owner, what would it be?
A: Don’t give up. Devote yourself to an idea, go make it happen. Struggle on it, overcome your fears and don’t forget that your are pursuing your dream.
