11 charged after Aurora prostitution sting

Seven men and four women face charges for sex-related crimes following a two-day prostitution sting in Aurora, authorities said Friday.

The 11 were charged following a prostitution sting conducted by the Aurora Police Department’s Special Operations Group, spokesman Dan Ferrelli said.

Six of the men were charged after answering a phony adult-oriented advertisement posted by police on a website, Ferrelli said.

The men came to a home in Aurora where they offered an undercover female police officer money in exchange for sex, he said.

He said the women and one of the men, who dressed like a woman, were arrested after an undercover male officer answered their ads that were posted on several websites. Ferrelli said they came to the same home and offered an undercover officer money in exchange for sex.
