Suspicious package found at Italian Stock Exchange

Several suspicious packages have been identified in public offices in Milan, including the Italian Stock Exchange, according to a regional health official. Giorgio Ciconali, a health official for the Lombardy region, said the packages were discovered in the last 24 hours.

Police and fire department officers, including hazardous materials specialists, were outside the stock exchange at 11:30 a.m.

A spokeswoman for the exchange said the bourse’s offices weren’t evacuated.
