Get your tickets now for “The New Year’s Comedy Show for People Who Can’t Stay Up ‘Til Midnight!” on Saturday, Dec. 31, at the Hemmens Cultural Center, 45 Symphony Way in Elgin. Tickets start at $25.

It will feature comedy headliner Rocky LaPorte, who has appeared on HBO, Letterman and Leno. He has been featured on his own “Comedy Central Presents” special. He has opened for the likes of Louie Anderson, Garry Shandling, Drew Carey, Tim Allen, Hootie and the Blowfish and the Righteous Brothers.

The special musical guests will be Sons of the Never Wrong. They are a folk trio from Chicago made up of Bruce Roper, Deborah Lader and Sue Demel. They will be joined by the WGN-TV Morning News “Funny Team” Pat Tomasulo and Ana Belaval, Chicago comic Spike Manton and this year’s host Tim Clue.

Chicago comic Tim Clue says, “We are extremely proud to be bringing top-notch comedian Rocky LaPorte and the award-winning music of Sons of the Never Wrong. We know there are always high expectations for the show, so this year we’ve also begged WGN-TV Morning News funny peeps Pat Tomasulo and Ana Belaval to come out and showcase their off-screen comedy.”

Show time will be 7:30 p.m. Rated PG, this show is family-friendly and appropriate for kids 12 and older. Enjoy comedy and music on New Year’s Eve at the Hemmens Cultural Center.
