Palatine library plans Hoffman branch grand opening

To celebrate its new branch, the Palatine Public Library invites all North Hoffman Estates district residents to drop in and rediscover their neighborhood library beginning Monday, Dec. 5, through Saturday, Dec. 10. Giveaways and contests for all district cardholders are planned for the whole week. Adults who check out materials will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an e-reader.

The North Hoffman Branch is in the Willow Recreation Center, 3600 Lexington Drive, Hoffman Estates. Open hours are Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday and closed on Sundays.

To obtain a library card, bring two forms of identification showing proof of residency within the district boundaries. Children under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by an adult when applying for a card.
