Coach: Howard Moore (second season)

Key players lost: Robo Kreps (15.8 ppg), Paul Carter (14.7 ppg), Zavion Neely (8.3 ppg).

Key players returning: 6-9 senior Darrin Williams (4.9 ppg), 6-7 senior Paris Carter (4.8 ppg), 6-2 senior Daniel Barnes.

Notable newcomers: 6-1 junior Gary Talton (transfer from Mountain View CC); 6-2 freshman Sammy Sutter (South Elgin), 6-4 freshman Jerome Brown, 6-4 freshman Marc Brown, 6-5 freshman Ahman Fells, 6-5 freshman Rob Robinson, 6-10 freshman Will Simonton, 6-0 freshman Greg Travis.

It will be good news if: Talton is ready to shine on the Division I stage.

Watch out if: the NCAA suddenly declares freshmen ineligible.

Outlook: It seems as though the Flames have some serious rebuilding in store, but Moore isn’t conceding anything.
