It’s easier to pronounce 125th

If you don’t already know that Arlington Heights next year will celebrate the 125th anniversary of its incorporation, you will soon.

The kickoff ceremony for the yearlong Quasquicentennial celebration will take place at the village’s Tree Lighting, at 4:45 p.m., Friday Nov. 25, in North School Park, 410 N. Arlington Heights Road.

But there is more.

Even before that, “A Night at the Museum ... 125 years of Arlington Heights History Comes Alive” will present historical figures from the village’s past, a sneak preview of (almost) everything you wanted to know about the town’s history, refreshments, tours of the campus and entertainment.

The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the historical museum, 110 W. Fremont St. Tickets are $40 through Nov. 5, then increase to $50.
