Vets invited to Grayslake Central:

Grayslake Central High School plans a special breakfast and luncheon for Veterans Day on Friday, Nov. 11. Grayslake Central's public service practicum classes intend to honor the contributions of local veterans, while making students more aware about the military accomplishments. The breakfast will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m., with lunch running from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a schoolwide ceremony honoring the vets from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m. All events are free for local veterans as way for Grayslake Central thank them for their contributions. Those interested in attending should call (847) 986-3333 and leave a message to make a reservation for one or all of the events. Calls will be returned within 48 hours. All calls made after noon Oct. 28 will not be returned until after noon Oct. 31.
