Passes for new Cary dog park available

Passes for the dog park at Hoffman Park are on sale at the Cary Community Center. The new 18-acre dog park is at Hoffman Park off West Main Street. The park is projected to open Nov. 1.

The dog park features an 18-acre fenced mowed grassy open play area, a tall grass area with walking trails, a separate fenced small-dog area, two training/adjustment areas, and a double-gate entry with electronic key access for security and for entrance by dog pass holders. Additional amenities include dog waste bag stations, garbage/recycling cans, a drinking fountain for both dogs and people, and restrooms.

Annual passes are available at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road. To purchase a pass, complete a registration packet on the park district website, www.carypark.com or at the Community Center. The registration packet contains required forms and guidelines for use.

Annual fees are resident, one dog, $55; resident, additional dog, $10; senior resident, one dog, $46; senior resident, additional dog, $10 and nonresident, one dog, $110; nonresident, additional dog, $25; senior nonresident, one dog, $92; senior nonresident, additional dog, $25.
