St. Alphonsus hosts Volley for the Cure

"The 6th and 7th grade St. Alphonsus Girls Volleyball teams recently hosted a Volley for the Cure event to raise money for the Men In Pink, a group that walks 39 miles in the Avon Walk for the Cure. The girls played against teams from St. Colette in Rolling Meadows and St. Anne School in Barrington. Parents and friends from all three schools participated in various activities including raffles, a bake sale and 'going pink' with pink hair extensions and pink ribbon tattoos. All the money from the door admissions and food sales also went to the cause. Thanks to the efforts of these three teams we combined to successfully raise money for breast cancer research."
