Diamond Dash for District 76:

The Diamond Lake Education Foundation hosts the inaugural Diamond Dash 5K run/walk at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15. It will follow the perimeter of District 76 neighborhoods, ending at Fairhaven School in a celebration and awards ceremony. More than 200 participants from Vernon Hills, Mundelein, and Long Grove and area businesses are expected. The goal is to raise $10,000 to be used for materials for staff and students that the district budget alone can't support. Register at
