State leaders to sponsor health fair for seniors in Libertyville

State Rep. Ed Sullivan and state Sen. Dan Duffy will sponsor a senior health fair from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Libertyville Sports complex, Route 45 and Peterson Road.

The event will feature more than 30 community organizations that will provide information and resources regarding the various services available to seniors in the community.

Representatives from each of the local health and community organizations will be available to talk with seniors and answer questions on a wide range of senior health and lifestyle issues.

Some of the free services available will include flu shots, photo ID renewal, blood pressure screening and skin cancer prevention tips.

Copies of the “Rules of the Road” handbook for drivers will be available from the Illinois secretary of state’s office, too.

Admission is free. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided.

Seniors from throughout the 26th State Senate District and the 51st House District are invited to attend.

Duffy, a Republican from Lake Barrington, represents the 26th District, while Sullivan, a Republican from Mundelein, serves the 51st District.

For details, call Sullivan’s office at (847) 566-5115.
