Blame the terrorist, not the religion

In reference to a Sept 28 Fence Post letter, “What else is one to think?”, terrorism is violent extremism. The radical extremist is to blame for the act, not religion.

When one cannot tolerate someone’s religion, it is bigotry. When a terrorist commits an act of violence, it is violence. It is a hate crime.

When we can choose love not hate, we can overcome anything.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
