Gay Wheaton alumni plan Homecoming event
A group of Wheaton College alumni who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning will sponsor their first Homecoming event and bring in a nationally known artist to perform, organizers said.
Jennifer Knapp, a lesbian Christian music singer who was nominated for a Grammy, will perform. The event starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 393 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn.
It’s sponsored by OneWheaton, a recently created group of LGBTQ alumni from the devoutly Christian school.
