Mark R. Lewis, 51, was charged with forging checks out of his mother's bank account, Naperville police Sgt. Gregg Bell said Wednesday. He is being held in lieu of $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Oct. 11 in Will County court.

Bell said Lewis was arrested in Pensacola, Fla., and extradited to Illinois.
In addition to the identity theft charge, Bell said investigators are questioning Lewis regarding any involvement he may have had in the June 8 homicide of his sister, Cathleen Lewis, 59.
Cathleen Lewis' body was found inside her Naperville townhouse on the 2300 block of Worthing Drive. She died of blunt head trauma. Mark Lewis left the area shortly after the slaying, Bell said.
Lewis has not been named a suspect in the homicide, authorities said.
“The entire case remains an open investigation,” Bell said.
