Armed men rob Antioch store

Antioch police are seeking the public’s help in locating two men who entered a Game Stop store on Route 173 and robbed the store at gunpoint late Tuesday morning.

An employee of the store at 489 E. Route 173 told police two black men standing about 6 feet tall entered the store around 11:30 a.m., each armed with a handgun, and demanded money along with the store’s surveillance equipment.

The men entered the front of the store with their jackets partially covering their faces and displayed the weapons, a semiautomatic pistol and a revolver-style handgun, according to police.

The men then fled in a mid-2000s black Lincoln Navigator, speeding east on Route 173 with an undisclosed amount of cash and the store’s surveillance equipment, according to police.

The first man is described as having a slender build and was wearing a dark baseball cap, large sunglasses and a black puffy coat. The second was described as having a heavy build and wearing dark clothing, according to police.

The Navigator had chrome trim and wheels, according to police.
