Veterans gather in Wauconda:
State Rep. Sandy Cole, a Grayslake Republican, and state Rep. Kent Gaffney, a Lake Barrington Republican, are hosting an evening with Lake County veterans from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 at American Legion Post 911, 515 S. Main St., Wauconda. The gathering includes free food, literature and information pertaining to important state issues specifically for veterans and their families.
