Ozzie tired of discussing his future with White Sox

It’s starting to look like White Sox general manager Kenny Williams is going to return in 2012.

As for manager Ozzie Guillen, his future remains murky at best.

Guillen is well known for his verbosity, but the Sox’ manager is clearly tired of discussing what lies ahead.

“I’m tired of that (bleep) all day, every day,” Guillen said Friday. “People everywhere I go, they ask me the same questions and they get mad at me because I answered. Right now I’m at the point like, ‘Hey man, whatever it is, it is.’ If I’m back here, good. If I’m not, good. That’s the way it is. Whatever happens, happens.

“Whatever happens with this organization is going to be for the good of the organization. It’s not going to be for Ozzie or for Jerry (Reinsdorf). It’s going to be for the good of the organization, and that’s the way it should be.”

Guillen is signed through next season, but he would like an extension. That does not mean he is demanding more years on his contract.

“(President) Obama asked for an extension, why shouldn’t I ask for one?” Guillen said. “Obama wants four more years. You always knock on the door to see what you get. I don’t think they have to, but my job is just to make sure to ask, you know what I mean? You want to date a girl, but you’re not going to ask her out? You’re that good that you say, ‘OK I’m here?’ You’re going to knock on the door and see what’s going on.”

Reinsdorf was spotted at U.S. Cellular Field on Friday, but Guillen has not spoken to the chairman about his future.

“Do I expect to talk?” Guillen said. “I hope he does. But it doesn’t mean I have to talk to him, and he doesn’t have to talk to me. He’s my boss and I respect that. He talks to me when he wants to talk to me, not when I want to talk to him.”

Stewart scorched:Zach Stewart#146;s razor thin chance of landing a spot in the White Sox#146; rotation next season appeared to all but end Friday after the right-hander allowed 9 runs on 12 hits in 4 innings during an 11-1 loss to the Royals .Stewart became the first Sox starter since Bartolo Colon (2007) to allow 4 home runs in one game.#147;When you#146;re facing a pretty good hitting team, you have to come up with better stuff,#148; manager Ozzie Guillen said.Stewart has lost his last three starts while allowing 17 runs in 14 innings.Quentin finished:Carlos Quentin is going to sit out the rest of the season with a sore left shoulder. The right fielder sprained the AC joint after making a diving catch on Aug. 20. Quentin pinch-hit against the Tigers three weeks later but hasn#146;t been back in the field.#147;I think it#146;s very hard for him to go out there,#148; manager Ozzie Guillen said. #147;He#146;s fine, he#146;s just a little bit sore. Every time he plays, it#146;s just sore and it gets worse and worse. I don#146;t know why we have to take that chance. What#146;s he got to prove?#148;BBA24531625Chicago White Sox right fielder Dayan Viciedo jumps to catch a fly ball off the bat of the Kansas City Royals' Billy Butler that went for a sacrifice fly that drove in a run in the in the third inning of a baseball game in Chicago on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011.
