Route 22 crossing to close:

The Metra commuter rail tracks on Route 22 (Half Day Road) west of Route 43 (Waukegan Road) will be closed from Oct. 5 through Oct. 12. Vehicles will not be able to cross the tracks in either direction. The detour route is Riverwoods Road to/from Deerfield Road or Telegraph Road to/from Everett Road. The closure will begin at 6 a.m. Oct. 5. Message signs on routes 22 and 43 will be updated frequently. See www.bannockburn.org for construction updates.
