Girls volleyball/Fox Valley roundup

St. Edward d. Larkin: Sarah Norman had 15 kills and Katie Swanson added 9 kills and 9 digs as St. Edward (12-5) won 25-11, 24-26, 25-18 in nonconference play. Rena Ranallo (5 kills, 6 digs), Katie Ayello (17 assists, 8 digs) and Callie Johnson (6 kills) also contributed for the Green Wave.

Woodstock North d. Hampshire: Michelle Dumoulin had 8 kills and Kelly Meathe 12 digs but the Whip-Purs (4-13, 1-4) came up short in the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division match, losing 25-21, 25-23.

Cary-Grove d. Dundee-Crown: Cary-Grove bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Huntley by dismantling Dundee-Crown 25-8, 25-5 in the FVC Valley. Nicole Schuh had 16 digs and Melanie Jereb added 11 kills and 4 aces for the Trojans (15-1, 3-1). Lindsey Peterson had 3 kills for Dundee-Crown (4-9, 0-5).

Huntley d. Woodstock: Sam Boesch had 7 kills and Hailey Vitacco added 6 as the Red Raiders (13-0) rolled to a 25-7, 25-19 FVC crossover win. Eli Manning served 13 points and had 10 assists for Huntley.

St. Charles East d. Bartlett: Katie Hrbacek had 5 kills and Tori Burke added 13 assists and 7 digs but Bartlett (7-12, 0-3) fell to St. Charles East 25-14, 25-16 in an Upstate Eight crossover.

Women’s volleyball

Olivet Nazarene d. Judson: Judson saw its 5-match winning streak snapped with a 25-14, 23-25, 25-17, 25-19 CCAC loss. Carissa Oelke (16 kills, 17 digs), Kylee Koon (13 kills, 10 digs), Pristin Preuss (28 assists) and Taylor Lesner (16 digs) led the Eagles (6-8, 2-2).
