St. Charles Kiwanis ready for peanut fundraiser

Submitted by St. Charles Noon Kiwanis

It’s Kiwanis Peanut time!

Each year, the St. Charles Noon Kiwanis’ peanut fundraising efforts are in full force to raise money to help local children with many needs.

The group is one of the largest clubs in Illinois with more than 80 members. The club has donated the money to more than 30 organizations this past year, with plans for more in 2012.

If you would like to help kids, a great way to do it is by making a contribution through the peanut fundraiser.

If you choose to get a box, there are 100 bags of fresh peanuts for you to enjoy, give out at Halloween or for your office. If you are not up for peanuts, you may choose to give a box as a donation for local American troops serving our country overseas. Designate your $40 contribution to the troops and a dual purpose is served. The troops receive the peanuts and the local children’s agencies receive the much-needed funds. In the past, the club has sent peanut boxes through Fox Valley Troop Support.

One hundred percent of profits go straight to the children’s programs and agencies. If you are considering donating to this worthy cause, call Peanut chairman Bill Knotts at (630) 513-7894 or (630) 865-4254, or any St. Charles Noon Kiwanis member.
