Bilingual parent session at Woodland

Gurnee-based Woodland Elementary District 50 will host its first of four Bilingual Parent Advisory Council meetings for the academic year from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28. It’ll be at Woodland Primary School, 17366 W. Gages Lake Road in the unincorporated Lake County area of Gages Lake. Parents of English as a Second Language students and bilingual pupils are invited to attend. Topics for the evening are to include helping a child in school and parent-teacher conferences. Those who attend can enter a book raffle and child care will be available. Information will be discussed in Spanish and English, but parents of all language backgrounds are invited to attend.
