Fremont District 79 honored for videos, website

Two Fremont Elementary District 79 videos and the district website are being recognized by the Illinois Chapter National School Public Relations Association.

The “Wheels on the Bus” and “District Vision” videos and the website were named winners in the organization's 2011 Communications Contest Awards.

District representatives will be recognized at a luncheon Friday, Sept. 23, in Oak Brook. Student Information Specialist Kearstie Grenier, Transportation Director Keith Johnson and Communications Coordinator Margaret Van Duch will receive the honors.

“The INSPRA award designation recognizes the team communication efforts of Fremont School District 79,” Superintendent Jill Gildea said.

“From a community visions video to a succinct history and outline of our district transportation system and an award-winning website redesign, Fremont celebrates a proactive, transparent and creative use of media to engage our entire learning community.”
