Libertyville District 70 honors teachers

Submitted by Robin Kollman

During a recent school board meeting, Libertyville Elementary District 70 honored several teachers who helped develop curriculum and professional programs during the school year.

“These are the teachers of the teachers; the best of the best,” Superintendent Dr. Guy Schumacher said during a recent board of education meeting when acknowledging the teachers. “It means a lot to us when we can have our own teachers training and teaching one another. It is a great gift to the district at large. We appreciate your time and effort, that you go beyond what we expect from you.”

Kathy Dinger, the district’s director of curriculum and instruction, said of the teachers, “they are the energy and knowledge that keeps us moving forward, making our schools a better place to learn every day.”
