AT&T offering 4G LTE in Chicago

PRNewswire

CHICAGO — AT&T said that customers in Chicago will now have access to the latest generation of wireless network technology.

4G LTE is more efficient than other mobile broadband technologies, providing responsive performance for customers when they need it most, the company said in a statement.

“We continue to see demand for mobile broadband skyrocket, and now our customers in Chicago have access to the latest in mobile broadband with 4G LTE,” said Dave Fine, vice president and general manager of Illinois.  “Customers can now get everything from email to apps to streaming video even faster.”

AT&T currently offers four 4G LTE-compatible devices: the HTC Jetstream tablet, the AT&T USBConnect Momentum 4G, the AT&T Mobile Hotspot Elevate 4G, and the AT&T USBConnect Adrenaline.

AT&T will continue to expand its 4G LTE footprint in Chicago over the coming months. AT&T has also launched 4G LTE in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Atlanta, and plans to offer 4G LTE in at least 15 markets and to 70 million Americans by the end of the year.
