Spend, borrow, tax. Been there, done that

In the Sept. 10 Fence Post, Walt Zlotow called the tea party a “cult” and said the GOP and U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam had been “captured” by the infamous tea party, whatever that means. Zlotow’s liberal party has supposedly created 3 million jobs but that 9.1 unemployment number has not budged.

He called U.S. Rep. Eric Cantor a heartless hypocrite for something that he said 7 years ago.

He has declared “America is neither broke nor out of money” because, get this, “we are able to borrow” at low rates. Wow. Does that mean we can never go broke because we are always able to borrow?

I don’t think it works that way. Solutions of spend, borrow and tax, shows we have been there and done that and now we sit with the consequences. In the coming election shouldn’t we be thinking of backing people who have the discipline and financial experience to build a structure that will lead us out of this very serious financial morass, no matter their party?
