1st NASCAR car wash opens

Racing fans, rev your engines toward the first NASCAR-branded carwash.

Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne and NASCAR Nationwide Series points leader Ricky Stenhouse Jr. were scheduled to be at the Thursday grand opening of the first NASCAR Car Wash in Romeoville. Officials with the NASCAR Car Wash Co, say they hope to open between 30 and 50 locations in Illinois, northern Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Each carwash will employ about 40 people with expectations of washing 10,000 vehicles a month.

NASCAR Car Wash CEO Dan Dyer secured exclusive rights last year to open NASCAR-branded carwashes. The inaugural Romeoville location is just north of the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet.
