The Mount Prospect Park District brings recreational fishing to youngsters age 4 to 14 on Saturday, September 17, from 9-11 am at Robert T. Jackson Clearwater Park. The fishing derby will open at 8:30 a.m. with an educational clinic on water and safety presented by Ron Aichholzer. The fishing derby will begin at 9 a.m. Fee is $7 for residents and $12 for nonresidents per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Bait will be provided. Bring your own rod, reel and tackle. Clearwater Park is near the intersection of Golf and Busses Roads. For additional information, call (847) 298-3500.
