Baader helps Stevenson better Hersey

Stevenson’s Rachel Baader was an attacking machine, registering 24 attempts and 10 kills in the Patriots’ 25-18, 22-25, 25-22 victory over Hersey in girls volleyball on Monday.

Stevenson, which moves to 8-4 overall, also got 9 kills out of Liza Pflugradt and 7 kills out of Michelle Schroeder.

Jamie Baranowski and Hannah Kay each had 12 assists for Stevenson while teammate Mackenzie Kurth led the way on defense with 13 digs.

Carmel d. Lakes: Carmel moved to 10-2 on the season with a 25-17, 25-22 victory over Lakes.

Taylor Pippen had 8 kills, 2 blocks and 2 aces for the Corsairs while teammate Megan Mowery had 9 digs and 4 assists.

Meghan Merges led Lakes with 4 kills.

Glenbard West d. Antioch: Antioch dropped to 6-5 with a 10-25, 15-25 defeat to Glenbard West.

Brianna Grant and Jessica Ploss each had 4 kills for the Sequoits while teammate Marissa Grant had 11 assists.
