Shredding, electronics recycling:

State Bank of the Lakes and its branches will host two shredding and electronics recycling events. The first is Saturday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Antioch and Lindenhurst bank locations. The second is Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Grayslake, Lake Villa, and Spring Grove bank locations. Customers can bring documents to be shredded and electronic items they wish to recycle, such as printers, fax machines, laptops, PCs, and miscellaneous cordless tools to name a few. There is a limit of three bags of materials for shredding and five electronic items for recycling. No furniture, large electronic items or televisions will be accepted. Customers are responsible for the removal of sensitive data from their hard drives and other storage media before recycling. All shredding and recycling services will be free. Event coupons can be printed at www.sbotl.com or picked up in the lobby of any of the bank’s five locations. Coupons are encouraged but not required for service.
