Aurora man faces child porn charge

A routine search of employee lockers at the Q Center in St. Charles turned up child pornography photos and led to the arrest of a 50-year-old Aurora man.

Francisco J. Martinez, of the 2000 block of West Illinois Avenue, was arrested Sunday and charged with aggravated child pornography, according to police.

If convicted, the charge carries a top sentence of seven years in prison, but probation also is an option.

Kane County Judge James Hallock set Martinez' bail at $10,000 Monday afternoon. Martinez posted $1,000 bond and was released from the Kane County jail about 3:45 p.m. He is due in court again Sept. 20.

Reading a police synopsis, Hallock said officers were called to the Q Center, 1405 15th Ave., on Friday after a search of employee lockers turned up child pornography and women's lingerie in a locker that Martinez later told police was his locker and not shared with anyone else.

Martinez was arrested Sunday when he came to work, police said.
