Someone was going to make history when first-year college football programs Robert Morris University and Siena Heights (Mich.) met at Morris Field in Arlington Heights.

It was Siena Heights, playing its first game, getting its first victory 30-7 as it scored 17 unanswered points after halftime. Robert Morris (0-3) got within 13-7 on Matt Westerkamp’s 15-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Warden with 2:50 left in the first half.

Siena Heights scored on its first second-half possession and finished with a 407-151 advantage in total yards. Westerkamp was 15-for-26 for 154 yards and Deshawn Weaver caught 7 passes for 100 yards.

Robert Morris is off next week before returning home to play Ave Maria University (Fla.) at 11 a.m. on Sept. 24.
