Strong field for 2 new McHenry judge spots

Twenty-nine people have applied for two new associate judge positions in McHenry County.

After interviews by current judges and a vote, officials in the 22nd Judicial Circuit hope to name new judges by the end of the year.

The two associate judge spots were authorized by the Illinois Supreme Court; Chief Judge Michael Sullivan announced the applicants Thursday.

Sole practitioner attorneys who have applied include: Neil Anderson, Michael Barrett, Joel Berg, Raymond Flavin, Camille Goodwin, Robert Gray, Richard Jackson, Richard Kelly, George Mueller, Howard Rigsby and Jennifer Siegler.

Law partners who have applied are: William Baudin, William Bligh, Michael Coppedge, Kevin Costello, Mark Facchini, Robert Fetzner, Joseph Gottemoller, Cynthia Lamb, James McBride, David Missimer, Cynthia Schaupp, Henry Sugden, Norman Vinton and Marjorie Worth.

McHenry County Assistant State’s Attorneys William Stanton and Demetrios Tsilimigras also applied, along with Winnebago County Assistant State’s Attorney Tiffany Davis and Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Mary McClellan.
