Sky scouting report

Chicago Sky (14-17) at Minnesota Lynx (25-7)

When: 7 p.m., Target Center

TV: Comcast CN100

Last time: On Sunday, the Sky lost to the visiting Indiana Fever 88-80 and the Lynx defeated the host New York Liberty 86-68.

Skinny: The Sky closes the season with three straight road games. This will be the toughest. The Lynx boasts the best record in the WNBA, already has clinched the Western Conference championship and also has secured homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs. It’s quite a transformation from where this franchise was just one year ago. In 2010 the Lynx finished 13-21 and missed the playoffs. But in April’s draft, the team used the No. 1 pick to select Maya Moore, a forward from Connecticut considered to be one of the best college basketball players of all time. Moore, a shoo-in for the WNBA rookie of the year, had 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead five players in double figures in Minnesota’s win in New York on Sunday. The Lynx shot 54 percent from the field and drained 44 percent of its 3-pointers. ... The Sky, which has lost three of its last five games and officially was eliminated from the playoff race Sunday, hit 50 percent of its shots against Eastern-Conference leading Indiana on Sunday, but Indiana hit 55 percent. ...The Sky and Lynx both boast solid defenses. They lead the league in field-goal percentage allowed, tied at 41.4 percent.
