Libertyville tops Zion-Benton

Libertyville d. Zion-Benton: At Pine Meadow Golf Club, Alex Quenan fired a 37, and John Cordan and Andrew Ross shot matching 39s, as the host Wildcats won 158-166.

Libertyville also counted Peter Henderson’s 43, while Zion-Benton was paced by Keith Torola’s 38.

“Good scores for Alex, Andrew and John,” Libertyville coach Sean Matthews said. “First time playing Pine Meadow’s back nine — tougher than the front.”

Vernon Hills d. Grant: At Antioch Golf Club, the Cougars shot 155, as Chris Edwards (38), Connor Dickman (38) and Jake Zoll (39) led the way.

Eric Swanson and Patrick Quinn each had a 40 for Vernon Hills.

Branden Weber shot a 42 for Grant (180).

Cary-Grove d. Grayslake North: At Renwood Golf Course, the visiting Trojans (152) won, as Jarrett Kinney was medalist with an even-par 36.

Grayslake North (174) got a 42 from Anthony Harrop.
