Tired of all the partisan bickering

Sick of all the blaming and criticizing and half truths? Sick of this: “I do not want to be a prop in that political theater of his,” says U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh concerning his intended boycott of President Obama’s speech this week.

Wait a minute, hold the presses, sounds like Rep. Joe Walsh is himself being a prop in the political theater, don’t you agree? I don’t know about you but I am sick to death of all this.

Let’s solve the problems at hand. How do we pay for certain programs, regardless of what they are? We either cut other budgets or we raise taxes or how about this? We do both. Should we do as Congressman Roskam suggests, cut the federal budget to offset funds used for disaster relief? Cut which federal budget? I assume he wouldn’t mind cutting back all of them or maybe just the one to rebuild roads in Afghanistan and Iraq, or cut funds to build new aircraft carriers, or is he just talking about cutting funds for Medicare?

If you are sick of all this, call the congressional switchboard. Contact Congressman Roskam and Representative Walsh. Tell them what you think and tell them to stop blaming the other side and to stop spreading half-truths.
