Sen. Kirk to speak to Wheeling Twp. Republicans

Sen. Mark Kirk, a Highland Park Republican, will speak to the monthly meeting of the Wheeling Township Republicans at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Republican headquarters, 909 E. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. The meeting is open to the public. GOP Committeeman Ruth O’Connell said she’s “delighted that he’s coming back this Saturday to tell us what’s going on in Washington and what his own priorities are, as well as to listen to ours.” The meeting kicks off the 2012 campaign for the local GOP. Candidates for legislative office are expected to appear and will have petitions available for voters to sign and volunteers to circulate, to place their names on the March primary ballot.
