What is your favorite ingredient and how do you like to use it? Fresh basil, I pick is straight out of my garden and use it in soups, sauces, salads. It makes everything taste fresh.
Describe your style or approach to cooking. I love Southern food, home cooking, Cajun and Creole, but also Italian, Mexican, Greek. ... I like to take different components and ideas from a few styles and blend them together.
Why do you want to be part of the Cook of the Week Challenge? Everyone who has tried the recipe that I#146;m submitting (Roasted Poblano Alfredo with Blackened Chicken) has asked me for it, or invited themselves to dinner. I love to cook and it#146;s extremely rewarding when you can share that with the people you love.
