Rosenthal named chairman of Realtor Board of Regents

CHICAGO — Richard J. Rosenthal, DSA, CRE, FRICS, has been named Chairman of the Board of Regents of Realtor University.

He is one of 10 members appointed to the inaugural Board of Regents of Realtor University, after serving as the chair of the blue ribbon panel which developed the plan to establish the University.

Rosenthal is a past president of the California Association of Realtors and has been a Regional Vice-President of the National Association of Realtors, a member of the NAR Extended Leadership Team for the past four years, and a member of the NAR board of directors since 1984. He previously served as the chair of the Real Estate and Land Use Institute of the California State University.

The Board of Regents is responsible for providing University oversight, guidance and management including governing the University by establishing policies and objectives, ensuring sufficient resources are available for University operations and being accountable for University financial performance.
