Woman killed walking on Interstate 290

Illinois State Police are investigating the death of a woman who was struck while walking along the Eisenhower Expressway.

Authorities are trying to figure out why the woman was walking on the busy Chicago highway Friday morning. Witnesses say she may have entered the roadway on a nearby ramp.

Police officials say the woman was hit by a pickup truck after walking in the center of the expressway.
