Savor the last summer weekend with suburban festivals

It’s the last official weekend of summer, and the weather will be perfect for fest crawling all over the suburbs. Depending on your likes, there’s stuff going on to fit every taste.

Bartlett Street Fest: The Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department Inc. hosts the fourth annual Street Fest, Dance and Raffle from noon-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, on Main Street, Bartlett. Come for the Kids Zone, “Obie the Train” ride, Bingo in the Fire Barn, a Classic Emergency Vehicle Rally, food, beer and wine, and continuous live entertainment. Sit on the grass or under the big tent near the Fox River, and spend either or both days soaking in the sounds of traditional and roots folk music on eight concert and workshop stages, with more than 36 top folk music and storytelling acts from the Midwest and around the country.
